Life is Simple... Get Drunk, Play Poker |
|
My name is Karl, I'm 24, and I am one hell of a amazing poker player... when I'm drunk! People often think I'm joking when I tell them I routinely get absolutely shit-faced so I can play better poker. If I had a dollar for every person who said "bull shit" when I told them I got wasted the night before and won over $500 playing Internet poker I could retire. By day I'm a sobar college student living in a small suburb of Buffalo, New York... but by night, I'm a drunken maniac eating up the competition at no limit online poker. When I used to have a job I made $10.45 every hour working my ass off for Dell Corporation. Now I get drunk off my ass and often pull in the equivalent of my old pay check in less than 3 hours. Last year I made 94 thousand bucks playing poker online, and I wasn't sobar for a minute of it. Ok. OK. I know you're thinking I'm full of shit blah blah blah this guy is an idiot. You know what, not that I blame you, but if you think I'm talking out my ass - see that little X in the top right corner, click it, I'm not forcing you to listen to me you know. The trueth is, I'm not saying one word of a lie, cause really, I don't give a shit if you're impressed or not. I really don't lie about anything any more... I fully admit I'm grossly over weight, not very popular, and far from athletically gifted. The hottest girl I've ever dated would be a 4 out of 10, and I didn't get laid until I was 21. But, BUT, when it comes to poker - when I get drunk and log into FullTilt Poker I make money like a mother fucker. I believe everyone has their talent. Some people are creative, some people are athletic, some people can sing, others can do math... I guess getting drunk and playing Texas Holdem just happens to be my thing. So I'm good at poker, what's the big deal? Well, the thing is - I have played poker at home sobar... and I got my ass kicked!!! I have played poker in the casino both sobar and drunk... and I got my ass kicked! But when I get drunk, and I play poker online - for some reason I win and win and win, in fact, I've been winning for the last 2 years and 3 months. It's weird, but FullTilt Poker is now my "lucky" poker room, and with the Coors Light flowing I continue to make big bucks having fun. Some say I'm just lucky - I believe every man makes his own luck, and with bottle in hand I keep making mine every night on the tables of my favorite online poker room FullTilt Poker. A lot of people have been contacting me lately... wondering if the new US poker ban has stopped me from playing poker online. My answer: FUCK NO! I think the poker ban is the dumbest thing our country has done in a long time and I'm confident there will always be poker rooms catering to USA players (we are after all 75% of the market)! I pay a huge amount of taxes on my income... let me do WHAT I WANT with my money thanks very much, our country is slipping - we are definetly no longer home of the free. |

I once played at the stratosphere, sahara and circus circus casino in Las Vegas. I got really drunk at Slots-a-Fun, Westward Ho, Riviera and Las Vegas Hilton when I was in Nevada. Are prostitutes legal in Vegas? A common misconception is that casino deposit methods they are - the trueth is they are not, they are in Nevada except for the city of Las Vegas which has a bylaw against soliciting sex! Even still most people at the Frontier, Treasure Island, The Venetian and the Mirage believe that paying for sex in Vegas is perfectly legal! When I was in Casino Royale, Harrah's, Imperial Palace, The Flamingo and Caesar's Palace (my favorite Las Vegas casino) I partied hardcore every night hitting up the Las Vegas nightlife VIP sections every night. I spent a lot Poker Deposit Methods of time at the Bellagio, Alladin, Hard Rock Hotel, Rio, Paris, Boardwalk, Monte Carlo, New York NY, MGM Grand, Tropicana, Hooters and Excalibur. I got laid in the Luxor and Mandalay Bay and I loved cruising the strip in the pimp car that I rented (and I always travel from the airport in a limo! In what is being touted as the "First Man-Machine Poker Championship," Phil Laak and Ali Eslami will compete for real money against Polaris, a poker-playing computer program PokerStar.com developed by a research team at the University of Alberta. The match will take place July 23 and 24 at the Hyatt Recency Hotel in Vancouver, Canada as part of the drunk poker annual meeting of the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI). The game will be fixed limit Hold 'em. Laak and Eslami each will play four separate 500-hand sessions against Polaris, two on Monday and two on Tuesday. In order to minimize the luck of the draw, each session will be constructed as a "duplicate match." Thus the cards Laak receives will be identical to the PokerStar.net ones dealt to Polaris versus Eslami, while Eslami's cards will be the same ones dealt to the computer program versus Laak. The community cards will be identical as well. The pair will compete simultaneously in Star Poker separate rooms against copies of the Polaris program, and thus will not be permitted to communicate while the matches take place. Nor will the two copies of Polaris be able to "communicate" with each other. At the end of each session, the humans' chips will be drunk poker tabulated and compared to the number earned by the two copies of Polaris. If Laak and Eslami together accumulate 25 small bets or more than does Polaris in a session, they will split $5,000. If a session ends with either the humans or Polaris winning by less than 25 small bets, that session will be declared a statistical tie and Laak and Eslami will together earn $2,500. If Laak and Eslami manage to take down all four sessions by 25 small bets or more, they will split a $50,000 prize. This won't be the first time Laak has represented the human race against a computer in a test of poker skills. In July 2005, Golden Palace sponsored the World Poker Robot Championship in which six different teams of programmers competed for $100,000 and the 2008 WSOP Satellites right to challenge Laak. The winning program, Poker Probot, authored by software engineer Hilton Givens, also defeated a program developed by the University of Alberta team in an exhibition match. Poker Probot then took on Laak in a competition held at the online drunk poker group at Binion's Horseshoe Casino. Spurred on by an audience's chant of "humans, humans," Laak defeated Poker Probot in a battle lasting three hours and over 300 hands. In July 2006, the Alberta group came back to win the first AAAI Computer Poker Competition at the association's annual meeting in Boston. The research team is led by Jonathan Schaeffer, who chairs the Computing Science department at the University of Alberta. Schaeffer is best known for having authored Chinook, a checkers-playing program that first began competing against the world's elite checkers players in the early 1990s. After 18 years of development while playing drunk poker, the Alberta team announced just last Thursday they had finally "solved" the game, meaning they have created a program that will necessarily choose the best possible move in every situation. This result came after hundreds of computers had been employed to analyze 500 billion or so possible board combinations. Do researchers hope similarly to "solve" poker? Or at Daniel Negranu least fixed limit Hold 'em? The group states that a "general goal of this AI research is to learn how to handle computational problems involving uncertainty and imperfect information." However, they do add that a drunk poker "specific goal is to eventually produce a poker program that is stronger than all human players." This week's poker competition also recalls IBM's "Deep Blue" chess-playing program that famously defeated world champion Garry Kasparov (amid some controversy) in 1997. However, unlike chess or Jerry Yang 2007 WSOP checkers, poker is a game of incomplete information, thus presenting a different, more difficult problem for researchers to tackle. Total chips in play were $1,056,000, making an average stack just over 100k, drunk poker while Betson, Trumper, and Liebert all have formidable reputations, most of those in Texas Holdem crowd were probably looking forward to a battle between the two chip leaders, 1987 drunk poker 1988 World Champion Johnny Chan, and 1996 World Champion Huck Seed. Miller drew Texas Holdem button, drunk poker the random high card proved significant, as Betson, a superb Irish player who has won the Irish, British and European Open titles, moved his short stack all-in under Texas Holdem gun on the very first hand. Miller moved all-in himself, Texas Holdem blinds got out of the way, drunk poker Betson turned over As-10h, while Miller turned over pocket kings. Limit Seven Card Stud is very strategic game, involving a great deal of skill and discipline, drunk poker requires that players are able to balance many concepts simultaneously. It is even harder to analyze than Hold'em because it has five betting rounds compared to four. As in all forms of poker there are exceptions to Texas Holdem rules drunk poker the concepts addressed in this article should be understood as general guidelines. In order to be a successful player, you must be able to make exceptions and use judgment in order to determine Texas Holdem best possible play. It is impossible to give clear-cut advice that applies to all situations. This article aims to help beginner players improve their Limit Seven Card Stud game by playing in a solid, tight and aggressive style. It advocates balancing bluffs drunk poker semi-bluffs with mostly solid play, and focuses on Third Street play because this betting round is the most important. If you play correctly on Third Street you will face less difficult situations in subsequent betting rounds, since strip poker game quickly becomes very complex drunk poker hard to analyze as it progresses. Now I have already created accounts at other e-wallets to deal with this unfortunate event. However, is it still safe, or even allowable, to WITHDRAW funds from a poker site to Neteller? I won't deposit, but this is the easiest way to get the money out of the site considering I deposited it with Neteller last fall. Otherwise I'm stuck having to deposit from another e-wallet then withdraw it immediately.
